From a moviegoer’s perspective, the 2026 horror year offers tempo and variety. There is recognizable IP where it plays, fresh vision where it counts, and a calendar that shows studios know when and how to deliver scares. The awards and festival pipeline into 2027 will come into focus once the fall festivals lock, and it would not be surprising to see at least one eleventh-hour specialty buy join the party. For now, the job is simple, cut crisp trailers, keep the curtain closed, and let the fear sell the seats.
